Rare as it is, Ben Chasny’s new album under the Six Organs of Admittance moniker, titled Ascent, is going to be an electric one with full band and all. Chasny last achieved something along these lines briefly in 2002 with members of Comets on Fire. A decade removed, he’s been inspired to work plugged-in and he’s gathered some of those same Comets to work with him again.

Ascent will, um, descend on Drag City August 21, but for now you can listen to opening track ‘Wawasa’ below. That’s the album cover up at the top and the track list following the link to ‘Waswasa’.
